Connect the evidence to a specific change and review plan.

Illustrative concept. The actual work is shaped around your store.

People arrive, but too many questions remain before they buy.

A lower conversion rate is a starting point for investigation, not a diagnosis. Check definitions, traffic and device differences before selecting a change.

What the work
can cover.

Connected decisions, practical implementation and a scope shaped around your store.

Locate the difficult moment

Review the path from entry page to product, cart and checkout. Compare device and traffic context before treating an overall rate as a diagnosis.

Investigate the explanation

Use available analytics, customer questions and observed usability issues. Separate reproducible defects from hypotheses that need more evidence.

Make a focused change

Clarify product choice, delivery, returns, forms or another supported issue. Define implementation and success criteria before starting a test.

Review the result honestly

Check technical behaviour and interpret outcomes against the test conditions. Document uncertainty and use the evidence to choose the next step.

Scope, deliverables, responsibilities and timing are agreed for each engagement.

Do we need an A/B test?

The appropriate method depends on the question, traffic and available data. Some issues can be reproduced directly; others need a structured test and enough evidence to interpret it.

Work you can
put to use.

The handover should make the next decision easier. Depending on the agreed scope, that can include:

In the handover
  • A journey review and prioritised issue register
  • A hypothesis or directly reproducible problem
  • Design and implementation requirements
  • A test or validation record with limitations

Bring the starting point.

Your important purchase paths, customer feedback and the measurement available around them.

Questions worth
asking.

Do we need enough traffic for an A/B test?

A controlled experiment needs enough evidence to interpret. Lower-volume stores can still address reproducible usability problems and use research to improve decisions.

Will you make the changes or just recommend them?

Either can be scoped. Design, content, development, testing and review responsibilities are agreed explicitly.

Can animation improve conversion?

Motion can explain a transition or make feedback clearer, but it is not a substitute for relevance, trust and usability. Any conversion claim needs evidence.
