A brief with a reason to exist.

Voice, claims and review ownership travel with the brief.

Illustrative concept. The actual work is shaped around your store.

Content is being produced, but the store still leaves questions unanswered.

More output is not always the answer. Review the customer need, the existing page and the information required before adding another brief.

What the work
can cover.

Connected decisions, practical implementation and a scope shaped around your store.

Choose the right format

Review whether the need is best answered by a collection page, product detail, buying guide, comparison or an update to existing material.

Make the brief useful

Define the reader, question, page purpose, source material, product context, voice and next step. Record claims that need evidence or review.

Write, edit and fact-check

Develop the content around real products and supported information. Agree subject-matter review and approvals alongside writing and editing.

Publish and keep it useful

Scope CMS formatting, imagery, internal links and final checks. Revisit existing content when products, policies or customer needs change.

Scope, deliverables, responsibilities and timing are agreed for each engagement.

Who publishes the content?

That is agreed in the scope. Writing, CMS formatting and custom development are separate responsibilities; they should not be left implicit.

Work you can
put to use.

The handover should make the next decision easier. Depending on the agreed scope, that can include:

In the handover
  • Prioritised content briefs
  • Drafts with source and claim-review notes
  • Reviewed page copy in the agreed formats
  • Publishing requirements and a refresh backlog

Bring the starting point.

Existing content, product information, voice examples and access to someone who can verify the details.

Questions worth
asking.

Can you improve content we already have?

Yes. Useful work can begin with refreshes, consolidation and better links. New output should not displace accurate content that already helps customers.

Who supplies product expertise and approves facts?

We agree those responsibilities before drafting. Product specifications, policies and proprietary claims need a reliable source and an appropriate reviewer.

Is CMS publishing included?

It can be scoped, but it is not automatically included with writing. Formatting, asset permissions, development and publishing ownership need to be explicit.
