SEO Internship

About the role

Support the research, page reviews and reporting behind ecommerce SEO. This internship suits someone interested in how search engines discover pages and how customers find products. You will work with SEO tasks that require careful observation, organised notes and clear explanations.

What you’ll work on

• Research search queries and customer questions, then group them by intent and the type of page that could answer them.
• Review product, category and editorial pages against a brief, recording missing information, unclear headings and opportunities for relevant internal links.
• Help organise crawl exports and Search Console data, checking dates, filters and page URLs before drawing conclusions.
• Draft page titles, descriptions or content recommendations for review, keeping claims accurate and relevant to the products or business.
• Track assigned tasks and revisions in the project workspace, and document what was changed and what still needs review.
• Assist with checks after an approved update, including links, page content and whether the intended changes are visible.

What you’ll bring

• An interest in SEO and ecommerce, supported by coursework, independent learning or a small project.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, sorting information and checking details rather than relying on an automated score alone.
• Clear written communication and the ability to explain what you observed, what you think it means and what you do not know.
• Willingness to follow a brief, ask questions and revise work after feedback.

Useful, but not essential

• Basic familiarity with Search Console, GA4 or a website crawling tool.
• An understanding of HTML headings, internal links and common ecommerce page types.

Skills you’ll practise

• Research notes that distinguish evidence from assumptions.
• Recommendations that another team member can review and act on.
• Accurate task records and careful checks of approved changes.
